IPL Photofacial Treatment

While we might all be aware of the need to use an SPF on a daily basis, it’s not something that all of us do. Help is at hand in the form of IPL Photo rejuvenation, which can treat numerous skin conditions at once. It is effective on freckles, age spots and other sun damage, as well as red blemishes which originate from blood vessels. It can be used to treat the neck, chest and hands as well as the face.

IPL Photo rejuvenation can help to improve:

Skin Texture
Redness
Hyper pigmentation
Sun Damage

This technique treats skin damage non-invasively so the risk of complications is low and it requires no recovery time.

Precise pulses of light are delivered to the area being treated via the IPL hand piece. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by the melanin (when treating pigmented lesions) damaging them.

The body’s natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance. This light is also changed to heat energy as it reaches to the level of collagen beneath the skins surface, stimulating the production of collagen and new cells.

You will experience a sensation similar to a rubber band gently snapping at your skin. This sensation is very mild and easily tolerated. Afterwards, the skin may look flushed temporarily but you will be able to return to normal routines immediately.

You will need on average four to six treatments every three to four weeks. The results achieved from a course of treatments can be expected to last for possibly several years or longer, and results can be maintained by occasional single maintenance treatments.
