How it works
What Are Dermal Fillers Made Of?
Ellansé filler represents an innovative approach to dermal treatments. Unlike traditional fillers like MaiLi or Juvederm, Ellansé works as a bio-stimulator, prompting the body to produce new collagen. It contains polycaprolactone, a biodegradable and absorbable material that supports this process. Ellansé is popular among celebrities for its subtle, long-lasting results and is ideal for individuals looking for continuous anti-ageing effects from a single treatment. By replenishing lost collagen, Ellansé delivers a natural, longer-lasting lift to the skin.

Why Do We Use MaiLi®, Teosyal®, and Juvéderm®?
The MaiLi®, Teosyal®, and Juvéderm® products are all hyaluronic acid-based and are unique injectable gels that utilise a manufacturing process ensuring the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid available. This results in safe, long-lasting, and satisfying outcomes.
As one of the largest providers in the South East, rtwskin made a careful selection when choosing which dermal filler to use. We opted for the top three on the market due to their production in highly regulated environments with continuous product testing and sampling.
Overview
Launched in the UK in 2021, MaiLi® is a new type of dermal filler offering a portfolio of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers—Precise, Define, Volume, and Extreme. Each product is tailored for rejuvenation, using varying concentrations and structures.
- MaiLi® Precise: Ideal for lip enhancement, fine lines, and medium-sized skin depressions.
- MaiLi® Define: Effective for nasolabial lines and lip volumization.
- MaiLi® Volume: Best for deep skin depressions and enhancing facial contours.
- MaiLi® Extreme: Focuses on facial volume restoration and contouring.
How do MaiLi® Dermal Fillers Work?
As we age, the natural volume in our facial tissues diminishes. MaiLi® dermal fillers combine hyaluronic acid with water in your skin at varying depths to replenish lost volume and refine features. They offer a natural-looking solution to the ageing process, allowing for movement and expression.
Who Manufactures MaiLi® Dermal Fillers?
MaiLi® was launched in April 2021 by Sinclair Pharma, a global aesthetic company known for innovative, natural-looking, and minimally invasive treatments.
Are MaiLi® Fillers Safe?
Yes, all MaiLi® fillers comply with European medical device regulations and have received CE marking.
When Will I See Results and How Long Do They Last?
Most treatments yield visible results immediately, with final outcomes becoming apparent after a few days. MaiLi® fillers are designed to last a minimum of 12 months, even in areas with high movement, such as the lips. This longevity is a unique selling point, as rejuvenation results persist longer.
Each of the four products can be applied to various areas of the face, depending on the desired effect. MaiLi® can be used for targeted rejuvenation of smile lines, plumping or firming areas with lost volume, and resculpting facial features. They can also correct facial proportions, restore contours, and rebalance symmetry, while also hydrating and smoothing the under-eye area, making them suitable for fillers for tear trough treatments as well.
Overview
Juvéderm® offers enhanced self-confidence with a softer, more youthful appearance. It can also be used to balance and correct asymmetric features.
- Juvéderm Volift®: Targets nasolabial lines and enhances lips.
- Juvéderm Voluma®: For cheek and chin enhancement.
- Juvéderm Volbella®: Ideal for lip enhancement and tear troughs.
- Juvéderm Ultra 3: Addresses nasolabial lines and lip enhancement.
- Juvéderm Ultra 4: For deep skin depressions and folds.
- Juvéderm Ultra Smile: Focused on lip enhancement.

Where does dermal filler work?
Most people plump for a cheeky cheek enhancement as this will lift the entire face, restoring a nice firm line to the jaw and giving an overall softer appearance. It’s a subtle thing which fits with our ‘whole face approach’ so don’t think about it as a noticeable or artificial implant. It’s nothing like that. We will take a good look at your face and give you our advice on how you can stay true to who you are and achieve a nice natural look. Sometimes, dermal filler can be used to soften ‘marionette’ lines, or to give your lips a boost. The best thing is to come in for a chat.
Are there any side effects?
The area may be a little swollen and tender for 24 hours. Minimal redness or bruising can occur. None of these side effects are very serious and they will resolve in a matter of hours or a few days.
After care
Avoid touching the treated area within 6 hours following treatment. After that, light makeup can be applied and the area can be gently washed with a gentle facial cleanser and water.
- Until the initial swelling and redness has resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold.
- If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the risk of bruising at the injection site.
- Do not consume excessive alcohol for 24 hours.
- Do not do any exercise for 24 hours after the procedure
- Do not have any dental treatments for 2 weeks following your dermal filler treatment.
- If you get any bruising do apply an ice pack and arnica cream. Mineral based makeup can be applied immediately after the procedure.
- If you bruise easily, you may want to take arnica tablets for 1 day before the procedure and for 5 days afterwards.
- If you are prone to cold sores around the mouth, our doctor will advise you to take Acyclovir tablets for a few days after the procedure.
- An SPF must be applied to the skin daily to prevent further sun damage to the skin. We recommend using a medical sun protection product.
